Would anyone be able to tell me the Japanese ISBN for one of Kao Yung's( Well, let's see if I can type kanji in these boards.... the kanji on the book reads, "高 永")books? He is the Chinese mangaka who wrote "Love Season" or "戀愛的季節" by "Acco Perfect Daran" (ISBN = 957-25-1660-4) I'd really appreciate itThe style looks a lot like early Clamp and one of the manga this mangaka wrote in Chinese was about a ranch of some sort.Yeah, I know this doesn't help much. I'm sorry, but I can't read ChineseThe thing about this mangaka(and why I think someone would know the answer even without their name or a title of their work)is that he is one of the few Chinese mangaka to also be printed in Japanese. I bid on an eBay auction a LONG time ago which read "Manga" and didn't state they were in Chinese -_-;...but the art was so pretty. I don't know how I found out that Kao Yung was published in Japanese(I probably found something the last time I looked for it on the web. I found this forum today and thought it'd be the perfect place to ask about htis mystery manga)...but if I can get a Japanese version, then I can finally read it

I did a search on Google Japan and came up empty-handed. Another search on Amazon.co.jp also turned up nothing. Are you sure it was published in Japan?

I did a Yahoo Japan and an Amazon.jp.co years ago and again right when I posted it and I couldn't find it. I figured it was my inexperience in translating "Kao Yung" into Katakana...I tried "カオ・ユン" and　"カオ・ユング" and came up with nothing.

I found this on the back cover of the book, which I forgot about until now...which I thought was strange since the book is in chinese but this must be why I thought he was published in Japanese)...

《荒原的新娘》在日本的実業の日本社所發行之『バル』月刊上連載



Which led me to believe that he was published in a monthly magazine called Baru by Jitsugyou no Nihon Sha. I couldn't find anything about Baru, either. I figured that if it was serialized, then there *must* be a tankobon.



...but I guess now that you mention it, maybe Baru was a Chinese publication printed by that Japanese publisher? But I just assumed that because it was in Katakana it was Japanese? But that doesn't make sense either. But "荒原的新娘" doesn't sound like a manga title.



Maybe it wasn't. I mean you know so much about manga I've read most of your recommendations and they are good! Thank you!)and haven't heard of him. Thank you again for looking! Edit: Wrong tense...and yes, I'm a stubborn person to keep looking for the same manga for years :P

I know of the publisher Jitsugyounonihonsha (which looks really silly when you write it in the Latin alphabet), but I've never heard of a magazine called "Baru." I looked on the publisher's web site for "高永," but found nothing, nor did I find any reference to such a magazine as "バル." There is a Japanese manga artist named 高永ひなこ (Takanaga Hinako) who created a manga titled "Love Round," but she specializes in "boys' love" manga, and "Love Round" is also boys' love (about boxing).

I think Hinako Tanakaga-sensei is a different person because the art style looks pretty different. Very pretty, though!



I guess this will just be something I'll have to wonder about, and maybe if I'm lucky it'll just appear in some random eBay search for something else Thanks you again!

Oh, I thought she was looking for the title "荒原的新娘" which was supposedly published in Japanese...I meant there is no mention of "荒原的新娘".
