I like mangas without all the impossibilties in it. Impossibiities like seeing the future or past, having powers, and other things like that.I loveMangas such as First Love or Honey Mustard that can happen in a normal everyday life. Can you request other Mangas such as these for me?

Hi, Angel!

Most shoujo manga have no fantasy or science-fiction elements. They feature ordinary (although perhaps too beautiful) people in realistic (well, mostly) situations and settings. Examples that come to mind are Nana (Ai Yazawa), Honey and Clover (Chika Umino), Hana-Kimi (Hisaya Nakajo), Mars (Fuyumi Soryo), Kare Kano: His and Her Circumstances (Masami Tsuda), etc. If you are looking for stories about relationships, these are a good place to start! Does anyone else have any recommendations?

I like fantasy in my manga, too...and if you want to find a whole slew (I have no idea why I want to use this word so much today when I haven't even thought of it for years), then try anything published in the Princess Comics line by Akita Shouten. Most of it is fantasy



You didn't state whether you read manga in Japanese or English, so I'll just an all time favorite of mine:



Pearl Garden by Hagiwara, Mutsumi

It's a very short series but I love it even now. I wish they'd reprint it, but you can find it if you scour YJ Auctions It's about a little mermaid and a not-so-nice con-artist man who really has a heart of gold (Oh, sorry for all the cliches in that...ouch). It's one of those manga that you can read over and over and it will still make you feel all warm and cozy inside. Oops, this one is published by Shuueisha (Ribon Mascot Comics).

hmm what language would you be reading the manga in? I know a few but sadly I only know the chinese names as I read them mostly in the chinese versions...

I just found out about it recently. It's hilarious I second your recommendation! Yes, it and everything else on Lijakaca's list are very ordinary, school life type manga. There's nothing too science fiction or otherworldly about it.



Maybe you'd like "Deimos no Hanayome?" I hear they are restarting the series XD



Gakuen Alice and Fruits Basket are available in English and have people with "strange powers" but are set in the normal world. Actually a lot of Shinohara, Chie's manga are like that, too. They are really exciting I've never read a bad manga from her. ...but it doesn't seem like you've visited this thread anytime lately...so I'll stop my ramblings here
