This interview was published in the July/August 2005 issue (#269) ofThe Comics journal. The copyright has reverted to me, so, with Hagio's permission, I've uploaded the entire (very long) interviewhere. If you're a fan of Hagio, or become one after reading this interview, I strongly recommend that you buy the issue of TCJ in which it appeared, because the magazine contains an incredible gallery of Hagio's art, some of which has never been published anywhere else (not even here in Japan). 	RE:Hagio Moto: The Comics Journal Interview (Date Posted:01/22/2008 2:08 PM) Hi, I just read the interview (I started reading, thought I would print it out to read at home, and ended up reading the whole thing while I was formatting it to print ^_^), and it's fascinating stuff. I'll definitely be buying the magazine. You know it's odd, I've probably read more about Hagio Moto's work, because of your website and work, than most other mangaka, but I've read very few of her stories - A, A', and I have a bunko of 11 Iru, and I think that's it. I need to read more classics! I have a question regarding shoujo manga, but I think the right place for it is in the academia thread, so I'll go there now.
