Lately, I've noticed several articles like this one:http://www.azcentral.com/ent/pop/articles/1229mangagirls29.htmlabout excited retailers and publishers who are amazed that shojo manga sell in the U.S.This article mentions two new comics about Mary Jane and Emma Frost which are aimed at the new market. I've seen the Mary Jane comic. I think the artwork is appealing but the story was a little dull.I was wondering if mainstream comic book publishers will be affectedby all the shojo that is accessibleto larger audiences here.Is there any chance that some of the independent titles with female characters will be discovered by a new audience?Has anyone read or heard anything about this topic? I'm out of the loop so any speculation would be very interesting.

Well, Random House has gotten into the game with Del Ray, no?

So that's an example of a mainstream publisher jumping onto the bandwagon.
